LISCONT

Liscont has been setting the standards in Portugal’s container terminal operations and port management since 1984. The terminal is located in the heart of Lisbon, at the regional center of Portuguese manufacturing industries and the country’s largest consumer market. Liscont is an intersection of North-South and East-West seaborne trade routes. The terminal plays a key role in key trade lanes, including Northern Europe, West Africa, North and South America, the Mediterranean, and North Africa to Türkiye.

HIGH QUALITY SERVICES

CoreX Ports & Terminals drives change and advancement at the Liscont terminal with a €122 million investment under the Concession Agreement. This investment will enhance existing equipment and introduce new, high-capacity, technologically advanced machinery. The modernization of Alcântara Terminal will integrate cutting-edge technology used in the world’s largest ports, improving both equipment and information systems while prioritizing environmental sustainability and supporting tourism activities. Once completed, the improvements will enable the terminal to accommodate deep-sea shipping services with vessels up to 20,000 TEU capacity.

Located at Alcântara Pier, 12 nautical miles upstream from the channel entrance and 2.5 nautical miles from Lisbon’s inner pilot station, Liscont has deep drafts at the bar and quay.

The terminal delivers high-quality services through a combination of logistics expertise, skilled staff, and advanced IT systems. As a key logistics hub, Liscont supports multimodal supply chains across the Western Iberian Peninsula, reinforcing its role in forwarding and logistics services.

DIRECT RAIL ACCESS

Liscont offers direct access to mainland Portuguese and Spanish regions. The terminal is well connected to the national railways, reducing transit times for containers originating or departing from Porto, Elvas, Guarda, Madrid, Tarragona, Valencia, Zaragoza, Barcelona, and Bilbao.
