Malta offers an extensive global network, high performance, cost-effectiveness, and ease of access to markets with minimal diversion distance, along with easy port accessibility, safe vessel maneuverability, and favorable weather conditions year-round.
The terminal has the lowest deviation distance in nautical miles between Gibraltar and the entrance to the Suez Canal. Only 6 nautical miles are needed for Malta Freeport, compared to 56 miles for Cagliari, 66 miles for Gioia Tauro, 165 miles for Naples, 280 miles for Taranto, and 356 miles for Genoa.
